The need for meditation and mindfulness at work
It is no secret that the workplace can be a source of stress. A new report from the Australian Psychological Society indicates that one in four workers felt moderately to severely distressed in the past year alone.
What we offer
Melbourne Mindfulness Foundation teaches people how to meditate and be mindful while at work. We teach simple and practical meditation techniques that can be applied in meetings, on the commute to and from work, while emailing and when trying to meet a deadline – without needing to sit cross-legged on a cushion.

Learning how to meditate and integrating mindfulness into one’s work day can assist to reduce stress and anxiety levels, as well as increase productivity, improve focus and enhance creativity at work. It can also promote wellbeing and improve emotional regulation.
Over the duration of the course, people will learn:
- How to relax the body and calm the mind at work using a variety of meditation techniques
- How to better manage work stress
- How to relate to, and work with thoughts and emotions
- How to better manage and regulate emotions.
